If money weren’t an issue, I’d buy myself these things for my birthday:

1. KitchenAid 24.8 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator
2. Nikon 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED AF-S DX Wide-Angle Lens
3. CB2 Big Dipper Arc Lamp
4. Anthro Tea House Doorknobs (need 5)
5. ReliaBilt Full Lite Solid Wood Interior French Doors
But enough daydreaming. In actuality I would set my sights a little lower.

1. We saw this floor lamp at Target the other night for about $49.99. Definitely an upgrade from the one in the library.
2. We’ve been wanting to replace our house’s AC registers. These come in white.
3. I desperately need a shoe basket under the new entry console, and this one is slim enough & should work nicely.
4. We’ve been wanting to add a light over the desk in the Closet Office, Lowe’s has these light cages for $8.95.
What have you been longing for lately?

I want that big dipper lamp SO BADLY!!!! the price tag keeps me away too =(
I’m glad it’s not just me, Jenn!
We have the KitchenAid fridge. It is amazing. Huge, but so awesome. I kind of love that Target lamp too. I hadn’t seen it before. How’s the quality in person?
Glad you love it! My parents have the same fridge (or similar, theirs might be counter depth), and I am really jealous. Our cheapo Frigidaire is too dang small.
The quality of the Target lamp looked pretty good, although I didn’t get to look very long, Robert saw the “ooh, pretty, I want it!” look in my eye and we moved on.
I love that Target Lamp! And I basically want all of this stuff.
Thanks so much for the comment, Kattie Lynn!
I love it, too! I think it would look lovely with our nearby dining chairs.
I was literally looking at it in Target today, I was just about to write about it, haha. I know they have two different kinds that are very similar – my favorite is the mustard yellow.
Oh I love mustard yellows! I’ve been on a yellow kick recently.
Oh the joys of budgets! I know them well :) My eyes glazed over a little while perusing your wish lists, it is all lovely!
If I were to randomly come into a windfall, I would probably spend it on tools, and books, or hardwood flooring for the entire house. Ahhh wishful thinking.
Wishing you a fantabulous birthday (am I early?) even if it doesn’t involve large doses of retail therapy, I hope it is full of love, laughter and an adult beverage or two :)
Thanks so much, Martina! Officially my birthday is next week, I’m just a little early posting this. I figure there’s no harm in putting the things I am currently stalking out there, right? Maybe the universe (or some benevolent stranger) will throw me one. (Yeah right.)
I think my eyes may have glazed over a bit, too! haha Oh yes, tools! There are so many things I would love to have if i were to come across a large pile of money.
Great list! If I had the money, I’d buy a second lens for sure. Also, an iPhone would be nice, haha. Lately I’ve been lusting over green accent chairs though, since we might have to take out our green living room rug and substitute it for a more neutral color.
Thanks for the comment, Ainhoa!
Lenses & iPhones are so much fun, and green accent chairs sound lovely! :)
Love those vent register covers. Only DIY blog types would add that kind of thing to a “wish list,” hahaha. I recently removed all my air intake covers and vacuumed out underneath. Makes my skin crawl just thinking about it!
Haha you are so right, Staci!
Eek! I feel your pain on the air intakes! I’ve have a few “oh my gosh, why didn’t I clean there sooner!” moments recently.
I love both lights!! If you dont get that light for vday (since your so practical with stuff :p) or for your bday buy that Target light as a gift for all the OT you’re racking in!
I like the way you think, Jami! :)
that big dipper lamp is gorgeous!!! As for the camera lens… I would love to just have the camera that it attaches to… I’m growing more and more resentful of my point and shoot… :( Hopefully we’ll snag one soon! :)
LOVE all of your picks for both the dreaming and realistic purchases!!! Happy birthday beautiful lady! :)
Thanks Ashley!!
DSLR’s are so much fun! I love our Nikon :) Hope you get one soon!
hey, which Nikon do you have?!?!? I’m begging Eric to let me buy one with tax return money… we’ll see if he caves… in the meantime, I need to be as informed as possible!
We have a D60, I bought it right after I graduated from college about 4 years ago. If you’re looking at a Nikon I’d go with the D3100 or the D5100. Ken Rockwell has some pretty good advice on the subject. :)
thanks Cait! As usual… you rock, especially always having resources! I’m semi-fantisizing right now, but I’m really hoping I can convince the hubby! ;)
You’re welcome! Good luck! I hope he agrees! DSLRs are so much fun! Both for blog photos and pretty much everything else :)
I love those doorknobs. I’m obsessed with them. I could probably dedicate an entire Pinterest board to them. We’re looking for houses right now, and recently saw an older beauty that had a wide variety of pretty doorknobs like this. I loooove them!
Thanks so much did the comment, Ali!
Good luck with your house hunt! I’m a sucker for pretty doorknobs & other details. I could totally have a pinboard full of them, too! :)
i love the new/updated blog! looks great :)
Thanks Ashley! :)
I too LOVE the basket! Our shoe situation gets out of control from time to time. Maybe I will get lucky and find one at a thrift store!
Thanks so much for the comment, Amanda!
I tend to leave my shoes right by the door, or under the console. so the basket has been perfect for corralling my shoes. Good luck with your thrift store search! :)
